Well I'm sitting up and it's almost 1:30am and I'm not tired at all... I feel like writing my Werewolf story but I don't feel like typing it, what an odd combination. So I figured I would just type a little journal entry just for the hell of it.
I do miss writing down Myles story, cause it's not like he shuts up about it. I think that he likes the sound of his own voice, but it's all good so do I.... hehe anyways I was watching Under World today and it made me think about Myles cause the war in the movie started around 1200AD and Myles was born in 1000AD so technically he could be in that war.
But then I was thinking that Myles isn't like normal werewolf's because he wasn't created or got some disease. He over powered a spell that was meant to enhance ones own strength. So instead of enhancing his body it changed his body because it was the only way to bestow the power of the spell without killing the recipient.
So with this knowledge I ask this question again. Are there actually other werewolf's or is he the only one? Because he is under an irreversible spell which was suppose to save his people, only to ultimately ensured their deaths by his own hands (well claws and teeth is more accurate).
So he never has been or will be "infected" with any type of disease that would invoke transformation of another person, even if he were to bite them directly.
There is still the possibility that he isn't the only one of his kind. But there in lies another question in my mind. If there IS others like them then they would in fact be under the same spell that he is so then in "reality" they could be any shape and size, being in fact other animals entirely.
So in order to let the umm reader understand this (if you don't already) I then have to explain the spell in which our, lets say "people" are under.
The spell its self isn't the "bad guy" here it's the people that try and take to much from the spell. The spell in its simplest state takes the willing person and grants them enhanced abilities they desire.
The way one goes about doing this is bring parts of an animal in which has the desired trait. For example if one wants to see in the dark, taking the eyes from an animal that has the ability to see better in the dark, they can put this into the spell and their eye site would then be that of the animals. But not physical difference would be seen. The same would go for a person who brought the eyes of one animal and the legs of another, they in turn would receive the ability to see as that animal does and the ability of the other animals speed or jumping ability.
The problem comes into play when say a person takes several parts from the same animal. Case in point Myles, he took the entire body of the wolf, in his situation the spell would transfer the animals site, strength, hearing, speed, sense of smell, even the thinking and mentality, also the apatite it takes to maintain the animals strength. Also the other things that would be incorporated in the human would be the fur of the animal its teeth its claws and tail. All these things that have been added to the spell would have to be fit into the human.
In order to not change the initial physical being of the person the spell would then have to create an alternate being one with all the abilities that the holder wanted. Which is where Myles' were-form came into being. In a sense the spell has been overloaded, and in order to leave the holder fully intake and not physically altered, this is what the spell has to do in order for both parts of the spell to work.
So in my thinking there are no such thing as traditional werewolves or even vampires for that fact. There could be variations of a vampire but that's a topic all in its self.
Back on point here, with the way that Myles has been, I can only say created because in a sense he was created, he nor any others that have fallen to the same fate would not be contagious. Which would not spawn a break out of werewolves or any other types of were creatures. So each would then be unique to their specific "powers" to say.
So then in this world there would be no such thing as werewolves. But then in saying that I instantly don't believe that myself. For the simple fact that it took Myles several centuries to actually control his wereform, but this still wouldn't prove that he caused or helped the spread of the traditional type werewolves.
Which I guess one could say that just because he didn't cause or help the traditional type of werewolves doesn't mean that they don't exist. They could still exist they just wouldn't be under the effects of the spell, and then could either be like the savage beasts they first were in the movie Under World or they could be able to shift back and forth at will.
Which this in its self gives me lots of possibilities with Myles story. Like a small part of which could be that werewolves where what was attacking his home village and he figured the only way to stop the massive wolves (which at the time would be what they thought) would be to become one himself, but in doing so caused the complete wipe out of his people at his own hands.
Oh how I feel bad for anyone reading the actual ramblings of my brain. If you ever wanted to know what went on in my head when I'm pondering a question of great story value in my head this is what it's like. But with more pictures, I like pictures they just make things easier to understand. Nice diagrams with arrows and such.
And with that the clock now rolls over to 2:30am O.O and I thought this would help me to sleep. Ok now it's time to print all this off so I can make sure that it all actually makes sense, and works with my story. Thanks to anyone that actually reads this! and I can't believe that you did...
